Our Connections To Places
Blogging can be lonely at times. Ok, most of the time! To get out of my house, I have made a local cafe my unofficial office. With its top floor tucked away from the ongoing traffic, it’s cozy and peaceful.
Some days, just being here among all those other people with their laptops brings me joy. The passionate business conversations over coffee, people conversing candidly with family over zoom, and the diversity in languages, sometimes Spanish, sometimes German, all bring me joy.
Just staring out the window and watching people bonding over lunches in the middle of the downtown street (thanks to COVID) brightens my days.
One thing I eagerly look forward to, though, is their art display on the cafe walls. They support local artists and showcase their art which changes throughout the year. One of them has made its home in our house. Like a little child on Christmas morning, I eagerly wait for the art to change so I can enjoy new creativity and passion.
Have you ever felt connected to a place? You may no longer live close to it but still, feel connected. Do share your experience.
