Self-awareness + Team work – One Bright Thing

Many little things brightened my day today. My favorite part today was the brunch I shared with my husband.

I am a decent cook, but I become exhausted and unhappy when I am the only one making the meal. It took a lot of self-awareness to realize how I could improve this experience for my family and me.

So this morning, when I craved Dosas (South Indian Rice & Lentil Crepes), I communicated it. After some prep work and teamwork, we had delicious dosas we were both proud to taste.

So often, we become frustrated with our situations, thinking we have no control over them. But, by taking more ownership, we can change how things are for ourselves and others. I am happy today was one of those days for me.

P.S. Had I known I would be writing about the meal, I would have taken a picture of it to share!
