One Bright Thing

I Am Glad To Be Back

I spent the past few days fighting flu-like symptoms. I spent most days sleeping in bed and watching movies when I could.

I often take for granted all the good days when my body is well and feels energized. It allows me to do what I want to do, like walking, exercising, and just moving about.

So, now that I recovered and am back to being myself, I am grateful. It brings me joy to be able to do my usual things. Being able to do small things like walking in loops in the backyard is a sign of relief.

I am grateful to have the strength to stand for long periods and cook for my son. I am glad to be able to sit upright and continue my meditation practice. I am happy to be able to sit up and journal every day again.

These things may seem trivial, but they are the things that make me who I am. They fill my days with joy and refuel me so I can be available for others who need me.
