Representation counts. We have heard it many times before. I am happy to have experienced it recently. The song in my mother tongue has won the Oscars!
Natu Natu from the Telugu movie RRR has won the best original song at the 2023 Oscars. Hearing my language on an international stage was such a proud moment. It was great to share that little piece of history with my son.

She understood how relatable that opportunity becomes to many who look like her—these tiny moments filled my day with joy and inspiration.
